In Acts 4:13, we see something powerful: people could tell Peter and John had been with Jesus. That’s what it looks like to be a disciple—our lives begin to reflect His character so clearly that others take notice. This is only possible if we spend time with Him.
Romans 8:29 tells us that God’s plan is for us to become more like Jesus. That’s the goal of our faith—not just to believe, but to be transformed. And how do we reflect Jesus? By becoming peacemakers (Matthew 5:9), serving others (Mark 10:45), and walking in humility (Luke 17:7-10). And we can’t do this on our own. We need to welcome the Holy Spirit to transform us from the inside out!
Being a peacemaker means bringing calm where there is conflict, kindness where there is division, and understanding where there is anger. It means choosing love even when it’s hard.
Serving others is also central to following Jesus. He didn’t come to be praised—He came to give, to love, and to lift others up. And He calls us to do the same. True service isn’t about being thanked or noticed—it’s about being faithful, even when it’s quiet and unseen.
